How to use AirPrint at Home on a MacBook
Most popular printers are AirPrint-enabled so you can print wirelessly to them using your Mac. AirPrint is built into most popular printer models; for a list of printers that support AirPrint, see the Apple Support article About AirPrint. Wirelessly print to an AirPrint printer Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac. See the setup information that came with your printer. Open System Preferences, and select Printers & Scanners (Print & Scan) on your Mac. Select + to display the printer list. Select the printer's name from the list if there is more than one printer. Select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint from Use. Select Add. With a document open on your Mac, choose File > Print in the app you’re using. Click the Printer menu, then choose your AirPrint printer. Select the other print options you want and click Print. If you don’t want to print wirelessly, you may be able to connect your AirPrint printer to a USB port or Ethernet port on your Mac. Check the documentation that came with your printer to see if it has one of these ports.

How to use AirPrint at Home on an iPad
Print with AirPrint Open the app that you want to print from. To find the print option, tap the app’s Share button or Share button or the Actions button. Scroll down and tap the Print button or Print. If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section. Not all apps support AirPrint. Tap No Printer Selected and choose an AirPrint-enabled printer. Choose the number of copies or other options, like which pages you want to print. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.
